Conversation about Having a Party and Giving
Advice
Angel is visiting his classmate Jessica. At this time, Jessica is in the backyard
of her house.
A: Hi,
Jessica.
B: Oh, Hi
Angel.
A: What are you doing?
B: Well. I’m
planting a rose now. Can you help me get the flower pot over here, please?
A: Yes, of course. Here you are.
B: Thanks, Angel. By the way, what
can I do for you?
A: I’m having a party. Would you like
to come?
B: When is it?
A: Next Saturday; in the evening from
7 o’clock.
B: Sure, I’ll come. Thanks for
inviting me.
A: You’re welcome. By the way, I need
your advice, Jess. Do you think we need to know about drugs?
B: Yes, I
think everyone should know about it especially teenagers.
A: Why is
that?
B: Well,
drugs have side effects and that it can be harmful so everybody should know the
truth about it.
A: Where
do you think children should learn all of that knowledge from?
B: In my
opinion, their family and teachers are the one who should inform them.
A: Yeah, I guess you’re
right. They are the closest people around them. Oh, is it really true that we
can get addicted only after the first try?
B: That is
certainly true, so if I were you I wouldn’t even touch it.
A: Don’t
worry I wouldn’t even get near it.
B: Good.
Make sure you don’t get attracted by it.
A: Don’t
worry, I won’t.
Try it means
you damage your life
